Deborah Beth (Hinden) Rosenthal, of Sharon, passed peacefully on May 22, 2025. Devoted daughter of the late Alice and Maynard Hinden. Loving and beloved mother of Meredith Rosenthal and Jon Rosenthal and his partner Amanda Walker. Adoring and adored grandmother of Katherine, Jonah, Addie, and Reya. Cherished sister of Janis Wolkenbreit and her husband Steven Wolkenbreit. Joyful member of Music With Heart and Sitzundjibers. Loyal friend and neighbor. Enthusiastic book group organizer. Proud graduate of the Sharon Public Schools, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Debby taught in the Brockton Public Schools and then at Stonehill College and Massasoit Community College. Countless students think critically, write persuasively, and are self-confident due to her teaching and mentoring. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1 PM on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA, followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA, and a shiva gathering from after burial through 5:30 PM at the clubhouse of MacIntosh Farm, 10 Apple Valley Drive, Sharon, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debby’s memory may be made to the Friends of the Sharon Public Library or GBH (public television and radio).
