

Born December 3, 1940, the son of the late Bernie and Anne Rose (Chitel) Robbins.
He was a graduate of Boston University, receiving his bachelor’s degree in journalism then receiving his master’s degree in counseling.
He is survived by his children Scott Robbins, Moses Robbins and his wife Meridith, and Lori Robbins-Dickson and her husband Kenneth and his children’s mother Joanne Robbins. He is also survived by his grandchildren Chelsea and her husband Asher, Jake, Ben, Adriana, Trenten, Jamison, Jaxson, LiliAnne and his great grandchildren Keegan and Ezra.
Harvey is also survived by his life partner Brenda Sue and his dearest friends Leo Waters, Thelma Rando, Tobby Wheeler, Dov & Judy Goldstein and many near and dear friends to him, that he has treasured and shared wonderful memories with over his lifetime.
Harvey was an incredible journalist for the Patriot Ledger, covering the Boston Celtics from 1967 to 1977.
Harvey was passionate with his involvement with the Friends of Prowse Farm which began in 1975. Deeply entrenched in a ten-year battle waged on many political fronts in an attempt to defeat the rezoning of the property. Achieving their goals of assuring public access to Prowse Farm and educating the public about Massachusetts agriculture and history.
In 1993, the Friends of Prowse Farm prevailed, by preserving 44 acres of Prowse Farm and are currently in a mutually beneficial agreement for the use of the property with Meditech. The Friends of Prowse Farm, continue to honor the property with public access for recreational/educational programs and events.
He was the founder and producer of the Doo Wopp Hall of Fame of America; his first oldies concert was at Symphony Hall in Boston. Harvey worked as an invaluable manager for the famous burlesque dancer Tempest Storm, “The Queen of exotic dancers” out of Las Vegas.
Harvey loved to travel; his favorite destination was Bermuda. He was an avid cruiser and went on over one hundred cruises that went all over the world. He loved his horses Jean and Skipper.
Anyone who knew Harvey was profoundly inspired by his kind heart, life experiences and love of animals. But particularly his ability to keep the memories alive of loved ones and the wonderful music of the 1950’s in our ears and hearts forever. His passing is a great loss to us all and he will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
Harvey’s funeral will be Monday, May 27th at 10:00 am at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon.
Shiva will be held at The Prowse Farmhouse located at 5 Blue Hill River Road, Canton, Monday thru Wednesday from 1pm-4pm.
