Dear Rafi, Lani, and Ethan,

I have many fond memories of visiting at
Your home in Sharon, and spending shabbat in shul. What I remember most about your mother was her kindly way with words, 
The way she spoke ( I Also remember HER mother!) and the way her cheese blintzes melted in my mouth… and that they might have tasted of cinammon? I remember the basement was full of her canned fruits and veggies too. I was able to reach out to Ethan when your father passed and shared the story of how he lovingly cared for your pet guinea pig at the end by saying kaddish with us. I also remember meeting and singing with Shlomo Carlebach in your home, which was a thrill at the time, not even knowing the lasting
Impact he made with his music. Your parents made such a lasting and loving impression on me. I know they must be  deeply missed and their memories will continue to be a blessing.

      I worked with Jeannette years ago on a program entitled ESB -  Eliminating the Sound Barrier.  Jeannette was a principal of this outstanding program along with Harriet Thayer Adams.  They did an incredible program, presenting to various employer groups and other significant entities throughout the Rochester, NY region.  
      I recall that the ESB program held a Legislative Breakfast for the various Upstate New York region legislators.   This presentation was such a success that I was told that the ESB program received the largest ever grant ever of discretionary funds  available to the legislators to distribute to worthy causes.   
     Jeannette was remarkable advocate for individuals with hearing loss.  I learned from her and will always think of her when I think of ESB and the Self Help for Hard of Hearing - later known as the Hearing Loss Association of America.  She was a major advocate for persons with hearing loss on the local and national level.  
     She will be missed, but she is in a better and more beautiful place.  May her family find peace in knowing that she was a well liked and highly respected individual.
    

Jeannette, along with her good buddy, Sue Miller played a large role in welcoming me and providing much needed friendship and "training" in matters pertained to hearing loss and to Hearing Loss Association of America and its dynamic chapter in Rochester, NY.  Jeannette and I served on the HLAA national board together and along with Sue, Barb Law and others, helped to launch the Walk4Hearing in Rochester and across the country.  Jeannette, we love you, friend.  RIP.  Peter Fackler

What fun we used to have!  Hiking in Hong Kong, going to museums in London, fine dining in Arizona and always, always laughing, kibbitzing and talking about tennis.  Auntie Janet (yes I know I was mispronouncing her name) was always a ray of sunshine and great fun to be around.  She will be deeply, deeply missed.

We were truly blessed to have Jeanette in our Kanter family. I adored her - her fearlessness, her energy, her devotion to her family, and her wonderful smile and infectious laugh.  She will be greatly missed. May her memory be a blessing.
