

He was the son of the late Ellis C. Tallen and the late Elaine M. (Poust) Tallen. Devoted father of Eric Tallen of Easton. Loving brother of Joanne Schwartz and her husband David of New York. Adoring uncle of Sharon Macchi of New York, and Debbie Sinclair and her husband Larry of Bridgewater. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews: Alexandra and Sophia Macchi, and Brandon, Zachary and Elle Sinclair.
Born in Boston, he graduated from Brookline High School in 1970, where he played on the Varsity football, wrestling and lacrosse. He attended college at C.W. Post on Long Island where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
His dedication to his work was immeasurable. In the late 1970's to early 1980's, he was Store Manager at Toys R Us, Inc. In the mid to late 1980's, working for his father's company, he was Area Supervisor at Med-X Corporation. He then became the Director of Property Management at Cafferty Management Company. From 1988-2001, he worked at Meredith Management Corporation where he performed all responsibilities associated with excellent property management. From 2001- 2017, he was Senior Vice President and Senior Property Manager at The Niles Company, Inc. Most recently, he was Regional Director at First Service Residential (property management company). While holding managerial positions at several companies, he was most proud of his work over the last 30 years in property management where he exemplified diligence and strong work ethic, receiving numerous awards over the years.
He also enjoyed relaxing at Nantasket Beach, playing piano, music, dancing, motorcycles, and his love for dogs, especially Tara and Brett. He cherished his many long-term friendships. Loving his friends like family, he felt blessed to have had so many special people touch his life over the years. Nothing will surpass the immense pride and joy that he felt for his son, Eric. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, Canton, MA, on Monday, April 1st, at 2:00 p.m.
