My husband and I and our children lived next to Bernie and Pearl on Terrace Ave when our third child, Patrick, was born. They grew to love Patrick like a grandson, and even after we moved away we continued to invite them to birthday parties.  We spent some time with them at their country property and have always considered them part of our extended family.  Bernie was a great guy!  Always such a gentleman!  Our sympathies to all his family and friends!
