IN THE CARE OF

Karlo-Libby Funeral Home & Sunset Hills Memory Gardens

Carol Sue Batson, 82, of Plain Township, passed away in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Carol was born in Canton on September 8, 1942, to the late Charles “Pete” and Helen (Phillips) Fach. She married Ray Batson on June 30, 1960. She was a Christian and a loving mother of four. She loved music, playing cards, her Tigger (a Maine coon cat), and the simple things in life. Her passion was her children. She was a loving foster parent for 25 years.

Carol is survived by her children, Charles (Laura) Batson of Homeworth, Rae Lynn (Dave) Savage of Raleigh, Kelly (James) Kennedy of Louisville, and Mark (Heather) Batson of Canton; 11 grandchildren: Ashley and Jared Batson, Kyle and Justin Raderchak, Bryan (Mesa) Thompson, Jamie (Demetres) Givens, Morgan, Dillon, and Brandon Batson, and Taylor (Darrell) Lumley, and Grant Savage; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Caron and Linda Courlas, both of Canton.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, who passed in 2021, her son, Stacy Allen Batson, her grandson, David Leroy Batson, and her sister, Mary E. Farber.

Carol’s family want to extend a special “Thank you” to her son, Mark, and his wife, Heather for the special and tender loving care that they gave to Carol over the last four years while they were her caregivers.

A private family funeral is planned with interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to the American Diabetes Association at https://diabetes.org/ways-to-give/memorial-gift.
