Carolyn was born in Dennison, Ohio to the late Charles and Patricia (Ohler) Peter. Carolyn was a graduate of the 1968 class of Hoover High School. She married Walter Benedict in 1984, who survives. She retired from the Stark County Sherriff's Office. Carolyn was an avid crafter and very involved in craft shows.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Walter, two children, Robert and Stacey Benedict, and four grandchildren, and one sister, Cindy (Terry) Pritchard.
Per Carolyn's wishes, she will be cremated and a graveside service will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 am with Reverend Gary Smith officiating.
