Very sorry to hear about his passing. My dad was a crew mate on the USS Icefish during the war. They all had every reason to be proud of their extraordinary service.

While I did not have the honor of serving with Howard, he is a navy and submarine brother.  We salute and thank you for your service aboard USS ICEFISH and thank you for your service to your country sir.  Now sailor you have the eternal fair winds and following seas you have so richly earned. We send our condolences to his wife Anna, and all of his family and friends.
