James H. Bossart Sr.

James H. Bossart Sr. age 80, passed away Oct. 28, 2011 in Canton, Ohio. He was born Sept. 1, 1931 in Canton to Anthony and Anna (Tillitski) Bossart. James graduated from Timken High School in 1949. He was a driver for Superior Meats for 34 years and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Teamsters Local #92, F.O.E., and a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish. Jim enjoyed golf, breakfast with his buddies, spending time with his grandchildren, and most especially his daily games of double Solitaire with his wife of 58 years. He will be most remembered for his quick wit, dry humor, and the ability to make people laugh. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and frequently would boast of their accomplishments. He will be missed by all who knew him, but his legacy lives on in each and every one of his grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Albert, Charles, Wilbur, Bernard, Leonard, and Richard; sisters, Victoria and Eileen. He is survived by his wife, Estella (Tillie) Bossart; daughter, Deborah A. (John) Kiss of Ravenna, OH; son, James H. (Ruth) Bossart Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Elizabeth L. Molnar of San Jose, Calif; son, David A. (Michele) Bossart of Canton, OH; grandchildren, Erin (Troy) Molnar-Bellot, T.J. (Amy) Kiss, Abigail (Ruairi) Molnar-McGuckin, Carrianne (Kris) Kiss-Schroeder, James Molnar Jr., James H. Bossart III, Catherine Molnar, Michael Bossart, Blake Bossart, Devon Bossart, Brett Bossart, Jack Bossart, Brooke Bossart, and Tess Bossart; great-grandchildren, Caleigh and Zoe Bellot; sisters, Norma Reigle of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mary Picarri of Canton, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at St. Joan of Arc Parish at 10 a.m. Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home. The service will be conducted by Fr. William Kraynak and Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Joan of Arc Giving Tree.
