After high school he entered the US Navy and was a longtime member of the Teamsters in Canton, Ohio. James was an expert mechanic and truck driver.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Fife and Carol Boling; sister, Donna Jean Lee; and brother, Richard Fife. James is survived by his brothers, Gene Fife of Fargo, North Dakota, Thomas Fife, Charles Boling, and Kelly Boling all of Sevierville, TN; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
A committal service will be held at Sunset Hills Burial Park, located at 5001 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, OH 44718, on December 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:15 am.
