

Lon Paul Konovsky, age 67, of Canton passed away peacefully following a period of declining health on Aug. 27th, 2023. Lon was born in Canton, Ohio on November 25, 1955 to the late Paul and Beverly Konovsky. Lon is survived by brothers John (Karen) Konovsky, their children; John Konovsky Jr. and Kelly (Charlie) Schrader and Don (Chris) Konovsky and their children; Don (Franki) Konovsky, Kyle (Melissa) Konovsky, Mallory (Colin) McCreary along with great nieces and great nephews. Lon is also survived by his current caregiver Kurt Clark who has been with Lon for forty years. We cannot express enough of our heartfelt gratitude for Kurt and his wife, Jan, and their family in surrounding Lon with devoted care and love. Another caregiver, Roy Haas, also provided Lon with exceptional care as well as Teague Clark and Shawn Wagner.
Lon was born with developmental disabilities and his Mom, Beverly, helped Lon be accepted in the Southgate School and remain in the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities Program for sixty years. Lon enjoyed many things, particularly, trips to hotels, Pepsi and most of all teasing with his brothers, caregivers and families.
A private graveside service for family and friends will be held at Sunset Hills Burial Park Mausoleum on Wednesday August 30 at 3:00pm. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lon’s name to the Siffrin Inc. at 3688 Dressler Rd. NW, Canton, OH 44718.
