

He was born July 21, 1928 in Middlebranch, Ohio to the late William Scott and Florence (Warstler) Marshall.
He was a graduate of Middlebranch High School where he was a star athlete in football and basketball. He later coached the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church men’s baseball team in Middlebranch. Robert was also a graduate of Miami University and a 60-year Mason. He was a charter member of St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church. He was a partner with Galloway and Marshall Public Accountants until opening his own practice. He later served as the corporate accountant for Spee-D-Foods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Johnson) Marshall; and a sister, Margaret Ray. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Judy and Eric Mantyla of Massillon, Kathy and Carl Daniels of Alliance, and Donna and Phil Griffin of Louisville; grandsons, Michael and Maxx Mantyla; sister, Mary Babics of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church, 4600 Fulton Drive NW, Canton with The Rev. Dr. Bruce R. Roth officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call 6-8pm Monday in the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home and 10-11am Tuesday at the church. A Masonic service will be held Monday at 5:45pm. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield, Ohio 44406. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Mercy Medical Center 7 Main, and especially nurse Amy for the exceptional care she provided.
