Ruth Brumbaugh

Ruth (Lindenberger) Brumbaugh, age 86, of North Canton, died Tuesday evening, August 17, 2010 at the Inn at Belden Village. She was born May 2, 1924 in Canton, Ohio to the late Roy R. and Owenah (Bauer) Frye.

Ruth was a former member of Community Christian Church, North Canton. In the 1990s she was an active volunteer at the McKinley Museum and worked at Natural Wonders in the Belden Village Mall. She will be remembered as an active, loving grandparent with a love of travel and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Carl Lindenberger in 1977; her second husband of 28 years, Hubert Brumbaugh in 2008; and her great granddaughter, Hannah Wolf.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Gary) Grametbauer of Kingston, TN, Phyllis Pirie of Columbus, OH, Mike Lindenberger of Tucson, AZ, Thom (Beth) Lindenberger of Akron, OH; and Amy (Kurt Harsh) Lindenberger of North Canton, OH; grandchildren, Cheryl Crites, Laura Durius, Elaine Pirie, Rachel Lindenberger, and Drew Lindenberger; great grandchildren, Grace Wolf, and Matthew, Ellen and Daniel Crites; and brother, Ken Frye of Falls Church, VA.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, 7568 Whipple Avenue Northwest, North Canton, OH 44720-6922 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 4815 Munson St NW, Canton, Ohio 44718-3614.
