Tammy was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the late Edgar and Louise (Brooks) Sloane. She graduated from Alliance High School and then attended Stark Technical College and Ohio University before she graduated from Mount Union College with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1989. She married Charles Johnson on April 21, 1995, and they have enjoyed 30 years of marriage together. She was a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Alliance, where she served as president in 2013-2014. She also volunteered at Hall of Fame for many years as well, participating in events such as the Ribs Burnoff and the Balloon Festival. Tammy was a sociable person who enjoyed spending her time travelling, going to concerts, singing, and visiting wineries. She was also an avid animal lover.
Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Charlie, daughter, Amanda Burns-Johnson, granddaughter, Emma Burns, and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Edgar and Louise, Tammy is preceded in death by her brothers, Tod and Ted Sloane, and her father-in-law, Gerald Johnson.
Per her request, Tammy will be cremated, and a visitation will be held at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
