You have gone but not forgotten, a very sweet man, with the enthusiasm to do things no matter the circumstances that await you, all with a smile.
You will surely be missed by Walt Hostetter family.

My Grandpa was an amazing person. I'll never forget how every time I saw him he said "hello sweetheart!" Even till his last days. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made me smile. I love him dearly and he will be missed. He is with my Grandma now and they are dancing together once more.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of loss.

I met tom many years ago,  but my favorite memory that I remember is the day he came into my family's home (for his weekly lunch that my mom loved cooking for he and walt)when he stopped in his tracks, looked at walt and yelled "how ya doin you old bag o' bones!11???" 
I laughed sooo hard over that!!! I went into the room and hugged him and told him how much I loved the names he was always calling walt! hahaha!
tom was so kindhearted and so funny and such a good humored man.
his self deprecating humor just pulled at you to join him in his laughter about his own goofups in life and he always had something nice to say about others.

he loved my moms cooking.  he was always sooo appreciative of it.
he came every week and we all enjoyed his visits.
he picked on walt like he was a brother,  and honestly,  he was!

even though i've since moved away to florida,  I was home this last thanksgiving into December and I so enjoyed visiting with him that day.
I wished I could have met his wife he spoke of so often.
I only got to know tom after her passing.

he was a good man.
I will miss him dearly.  
I hope when I leave this earth there are some that think I was worth knowing.
because that is what I think of tom.
his generosity never ceased to touch my heart.  and his courage to step into his brain surgery the way he did just slayed me.
he was a good guy,  and he repeatedly made me smile.
I wont forget him.
wish I could be there to pay my respects the way my heart wants to.

I am so sorry for your loss. My family lived next door to your parents for many years. I always recall how your father always took pride in his vehicles and how every day after work he would give my youngest brother candy from his lunch bucket.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
