She was born on August 16, 1917 in West Finley, PA to the late Howard and Sarah (Harsha) Cox. She moved to Canton in 1954 and worked at Grant’s and Stark’s retail stores as a salesperson. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple for more than 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murphy; two sons, Glenn and James Long; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her grandson, Glenn (Angie) Long of Canton; daughter-in-law, Kathy of North Canton; brothers and sister-in-law, Gaylord Cox of East Liverpool, Norman and Thelma Cox of Canton; many nieces and nephews; and friend of the family, Donna Long, who helped her in her time of need.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 18th in the Karlo-Feucht Funeral Home. Burial in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Laurels of Massillon Activity Fund, 2000 Sherman Circle NE, Massillon, OH 44646.
