

A graveside service for Adah Rachel Mettler, 87, of Canton, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15,2022 at DFW National Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.
Adah passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on December 27, 1934 in Galesburg, IL to Alvin Dupuy and Bessie Marrow Dupuy.
Adah grew up in Galesburg, IL. She married her true love, Robert Mettler, the couple had 54 beautiful years together at his passing. The couple retired to Texas in 1994. Adah was a long time member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church. While raising her family Adah made and sold porcelain dolls, “Dolls by Adah”. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. Adah main focus was family and making a loving home. Her children always came home to wonderful treats after school. Adah’s home was the one all the neighborhood children wanted to hang out. This beautiful woman was always helping others with meals or anything she could do to help them in their time of need. She was someone you could depend on. Most important was family. Adah loved and adored her children and grandchildren. She was well known for being kind and sweet to everyone. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
Adah is survived by her daughters, Lisa and Bob Mitchell, Angela Bowton; grandchildren, Scott and wife, Cassie, Hannah, Kassandra and husband, John, MaKinzie and Sarah; a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Bessie Dupuy; beloved husband, Robert Mettler; daughter, Robbin Mettler; son, Stephen Mettler.
