Carolyn Beggs Foster

Burial will follow in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton.

She passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in San Antonio, after a brief illness.

Carolyn was born August 7th, 1947, in Tyler, Texas to James and Clara Beggs.

She grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1965. She worked for over 20 years at Electronic Data Systems in Dallas, TX. She later worked in a group home for disabled adults, back in Canton. After returning to the Dallas area to work as an office manager for several years, she retired from her professional career to take care of her father. After her father’s passing, she continued her work as a caretaker for the elderly.

Carolyn was an avid reader and loved to keep up with the latest trends in technology. She loved her grandchildren and they all loved getting birthday and holiday cards from ‘G-Mom’.

Carolyn was Presbyterian by faith and served as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church Of Canton, TX. She later joined the Baptist church and became a member of Parkhills Baptist in San Antonio.

She is survived by her two children and their spouses, Ron & Angela Foster, Kristi & Alan Tarrant, 7 grandchildren, Harrison Foster, Lindsey Foster, Amelia Foster, Carly Foster, Kyle & Roxanne Tarrant, Kevin Tarrant, Kory Tarrant, great grandchild, Jayden Tarrant, brother and spouse, Jim & Patsy Beggs, and sister and spouse, Kathy & Scott Johnston.

Her parents precede her in death.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm before the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
