Carolyn was born in Austin, Texas on November 22, 1950, to Lynn and Sopha Duncan.
She grew up in the Oak Cliff area and attended Kimball High School. She moved to Wills Point when she married Duane Keys. Together they had one child, Hannah Keys, before divorcing in 1990.
Known for her strength and kindness, Carolyn was a vibrant force in the lives of everyone she touched. She was a long-time employee at Goodwill in Canton, where she could be found re-arranging shelves and bickering with her co-workers. You never had to wonder what Carolyn was thinking because she would let you know. She adored animals of all kinds. At any point in time had cats, dogs and even a bird or two.
She found joy in attending church, working in the yard and spending time with her family. A truly devoted mother, she always prioritized her daughter Hannah, and the two were best friends.
Her faith in God was her motivating force in life. She knew that no matter the circumstances, God has a plan. Her strength to push through hard times is what will resonate with her family for years to come.
Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her daughter Hannah Williams and son-in-law Jason Williams of Scurry Texas, and her grandchildren Mason Williams, Emily Keys, and Karlynn Williams all of Scurry Texas. She was predeceased by her parents, Lynn and Sopha Duncan and a brother Kenneth Duncan.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at Eubanks Funeral Home in Canton on March 21st, 2025, at 2 pm. Visitation will begin at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canton Animal Shelter in her memory.
