

Clarence Grady Lancaster was born October 21, 1919, to Horace Grady and Addie Levada Boyd Lancaster in Martins Mill, Texas. He graduated from high school in Martins Mill, and then moved to Dallas to attend Draughon Business College.
Mr. Lancaster served in the United States Army during World War II. He was assigned first to medical supply duty in England, and was later transferred to SHAFE Headquarters in London, where he worked at the Press Message Center. For injuries sustained during bombing in July 1944, he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Following the war, Mr. Lancaster enjoyed a long and satisfying career in banking, working in Dallas at First National Bank, Exchange Bank, and eventually, as Vice President at North Dallas Bank. After his retirement in 1975, he continued to work on the family farm; served actively as a volunteer with Canton Meals on Wheels, and as an officer of the Senior Citizens Center of Canton; and enjoyed traveling.
In 1946, Grady met and married his wife, Harrilee Hale, and began a long and happy marriage of 68 years. Grady and Harrilee raised three wonderful children, and together enjoyed the company of a terrific extended family and many close friends. Throughout his life, he loved most his family and his family farm in Martins Mill.
Mr. Lancaster is survived by his Wife, Harrilee H. Lancaster of Dallas; Daughter and son-in-law, Kay Lynn and Geary Reamey of San Antonio; Son, Gary Allen Lancaster of Dallas; Daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Mike Eidson of Rockwall; Granddaughter and husband, Anne and Andy Knott of Willingboro, New Jersey; Grandson, Jack Eidson of Chicago, Illinois; Granddaughter, Riley Eidson of College Station; niece and nephews Kenny Black, Elaine Pendergrass, and Jimmy Lancaster; and other beloved relatives and friends.
Mr. Lancaster is preceded in death by his Parents; his Brother, James Kenneth Lancaster; and his niece, Linda L. Brackeen.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX. Services are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX. with Gary Lancaster, Geary Reamey and Mike Eidson officiating. Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton.
