Clyde A. Thomas Sr.

Services for Clyde A. Thomas, Sr., 96, of Canton, are scheduled for 1 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Mike Roberson officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories.

Mr. Thomas passed away November 19, 2016, in Canton. He was born July 7, 1920 in Trinidad, TX to Johnny and Tommie D. Stroud Thomas.

While serving in the US Army, Clyde was in the Cavalry. He lived most of his life in Canton where he was a member of the First Baptist Church and served over 40 years with the Canton Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed selling real estate for many years, hunting and fishing. He especially loved his "Ruthie" and his family.

Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: Clyde Jr. and Larry Thomas; and 3 grandchildren: Mitzi, Bret and Tye Thomas.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Ruth Thomas of Canton; daughter-in-law, Janna Thomas of Eustace; 4 grandchildren: Tracy Logan of Allen, Trina and Mike Schoenstein of Southlake, Heath and Paris Thomas of Garden Ridge and Todd and Debbie Thomas of Mabank; 10 great-grandchildren: Brittany and Cole Baker, Blake and Brandi Logan, Jill Schoenstein, Adam Schoenstein, Allison Schoenstein, Wyatt Thomas, Felicia Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Dylan Thomas, Dayton Thomas; 4 great great-grandchildren: Avery Baker, Coley Baker, Blakeli Logan and Rayleigh Thomas; and a sister, Marie Mince and family.

Pallbearers will be Blake Logan, Cole Baker, Adam Schoenstein, Wyatt Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Dylan Thomas and Dayton Thomas.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
