Mrs. London passed away on October 28, 2019 in Tyler, TX.
Colie was born and raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School before marrying Clycie Leon London on December 31, 1943. The two lived in California prior to settling in Fort Worth in 1947 where they raised their two sons and happily lived out the rest of their lives.
She was Baptist by faith and she loved fishing, gardening, knitting and quilting. One of her quilts even won a blue ribbon at the Texas State Fair. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends all of whom will miss her wry smile and naughty chuckle. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Colie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry London and his wife, Laura and son, Donald London; grandchildren: Natalie London, Ryan London, and wife, Heather, Donnie London, Elizabeth DeVilleneuve and husband, Chris; great grandchildren: Alora London, Jonathan and Vivian DeVilleneuve; her remaining brother: Cleo Tawater; niece: Betty Robinson, and husband, Danny; and great-niece: Tammy Robinson Gray and husband, Greg and their two children, Blaze and Mayleigh; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Helen Tawater; her husband, Clycie Leon London, four brothers, Clarence, Cecil, Charlie and Butler; and two sisters; Mary Lee and Georgie Mae.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.
