

Services for Denny “Mack” Tompkins, 80, of Bonham, are scheduled for 11 am Saturday, September 12, 2015, in the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Danny Sandifer officiating. Burial will be in the Edom Cemetery.
Mr. Tompkins passed away September 10, 2015, in Bonham, TX. He was born March 26, 1935, in Brownsboro, TX to J.D. and Bonnie Lee Lawrence Tompkins.
Mack grew up in Highlands, TX. He served 25 years in the US Army and retired as a Sargent Major. Mack also retired from the Texas Department of Corrections. After retirement he resided in the Brownsboro and Athens area for several years. He then resided in the Clyde Cosper State Veterans Home. Mack enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Pat Listi and Mary McLean; and a nephew, Richard McLean.
Mr. Tompkins is survived by his two sons: Denny M. Tompkins, Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Telephone, TX, Jeff Smith and his wife, Renee’, of San Antonio, TX; his daughter, Heidi and Gary Cantrell of Bishop, TX; six grandchildren: Wade Smith, Rachel Cantrell, Tyler Smith, Victoria Parr, Rebecca Cantrell and Hayden Cantrell; four brothers and their wives: Wylie and Betty Tompkins of Baytown, TX, Jerry and Lynn Tompkins of Alexandria, LA, Kit and Elizabeth Tompkins of Lufkin, TX and Raymond and Barbara Tompkins of Brownsboro, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
