Dyanne Welk

Dyanne Thomas Welk, 76, of Sherman, TX, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 peacefully at home. She was born October 16, 1947 in Tyler, TX to Dale Benjamin and Arlene Arnold Thomas. Mrs. Welk grew up in New London, TX. She worked for Dr. Barry Acker for 25 years. She and her husband lived in Ben Wheeler, TX for many years and was a member of Heritage Trail Cowboy Church.

Mrs. Welk was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Arlene Thomas and an infant daughter, Rhonda Ann. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Billy J. Welk of Sherman, TX; daughter Deanna and her husband Evan Elkins of Sherman, TX; daughter Kim and her husband Abel Lascano of Texarkana, TX; and Teresa Fields of North Carolina; nine grandchildren: Emily, Meagan, Jeffrey, Mason, Aaron, Phillip, Lauren, Lisa and Rachel; seven great-grandchildren with one on the way; and brother, Raymond and his wife Lauri Thomas of Liberty City. Dyanne will be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful spirit, and love for her family and friends. She will always be with us.

Graveside services for Dyanne will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Edom Cemetery, 279 Downtown Edom, with Brother C.R. Chapman officiating. A family visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 27, 2023, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX.

Pallbearers will be Evan Elkins, Abel Lascano, Jeffrey Hudnall, Mason Hudnall, Alex Aiello, and Raymond Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
