Services for Rev. F.S. "Sim" Duke, 96, of Midlothian, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday August 14, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Pool officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Creagleville, Grand Saline, Texas.
He passed away August 10, 2014 in Lancaster, TX.
Bro. Duke was born July 3, 1918 in Grand Saline, TX, to William Ernest and Lilly Rosella Pearson Duke.
Bro. Sim was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Midlothian. He pastored several Baptist churches in East Texas. Sim enjoyed preaching, vegetable gardening, Skipbo, figuring out how to create things he needed instead of buying them, cooking and canning.
Surviving are 2 Sons: Jerry & Wanda Duke of Allen, TX, and David Duke of Dallas, TX, 4 Daughters: Marilyn Parker of Midlothian, TX, Linda Partridge of Duncanville, TX, Patricia Burrow of Lancaster, TX, and Joyce & David Porterfield of Pampa, TX; 12 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Bro. Sim was preceded in death by his Wife, Boyce Duke, Parents, Daughter, Anita Duke, Sister, Louella Kamman, Brother, Winfield Duke, and Grandson, Sean Duke.
