Hazel Marie Morrow

Hazel passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023 in Canton, Texas. She was born on April 7, 1928 in Oak Grove, Texas to Wallace Leonard Reid and Eleanor Lucille Wheeler Reid.

Hazel was Baptist by faith. She enjoyed working in the garden, keeping a tidy lawn and being outside. Hazel was a hard worker all her life. She enjoyed listening to country music from earlier years. Hazel’s pride and joy was her family. Time spent with family was the best day. She enjoyed her role as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Hazel is reunited with her husband of 59 years, Cecil Norman Morrow, but will live on in the hearts and memories of those that knew and loved her.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Eleanor Reid; beloved husband, Cecil Morrow; and siblings; Dorothy Woodruff, Bonnie Fife, Max Reid, Ruby Keen and Mary Elledge.

She is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann Hill, Carolyn Sue Webb and her husband Ben, Anita Marie Walton and her husband Mark; five grandchildren, Jana Lindsey, Julie Cote and her husband Mike, Stephanie Clifton and her husband Kasey, Leslie Klaus, and Justin Wright and his wife Kim; 10 great grandchildren; and a host family, friends, and neighbors where she lived in the same house for 70 years.

The family would like to extend our hearts felt thanks to the nurses, aides, and staff of Country Place, Canton Oaks, and The Hospice of East Texas for their care of our loved one during her brief illness.
