Services for Homer Floyd Edwards, 76, of Canton, TX are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. David Yarbrough officiating. Interment will be in Haven of Memories in Canton.
He passed away March 19, 2016, in Canton, TX.
Homer was born May 26, 1939, in McKinney, TX to Lesil Wayne and Margaret Lowry Edwards.
He grew up in McKinney and graduated from East Texas State University with a bachelor's degree. He continued his education earning a master's degree and enjoyed teaching school for 32 years. He, also, enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and catering for school events.
Homer is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Vickey Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Edwards of Canton, son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Maribeth Edwards of Lindale, TX, son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Rosa Edwards of Andrews, TX, son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kathy Edwards of Andrews, TX, son and daughter-in-law, Romel and Ana Teodones, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three brothers, Jackie Wayne Edwards, Leslie Ray Edwards and Vaughn Edwards and sister, Harriet Rios.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 20, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Canton.
