He loved to make people laugh. “He said what he meant, and meant what he said”. He was known as a man of commitment. He was married to Virginia Hale for 48 years and worked at Carrier/United Technologies in Tyler for 42 years.
James was preceded in death by his mom and dad; sister, Dorothy Cruse; his brothers, Bobby Hale, Billy Hale, Clyde Hale; and grandson, James Martinez.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Hale; brother, Larry and Peggy Hale; children, James and Tracy Sharp of Grand Saline, Timothy and Barbie Gaskill of Grand Saline; Laura Martinez of Van; Jennifer and Richard of Mineola; Jerry and Hope of Mineola; Jason and Janet of Grand Saline.
He had 30 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren, or as dad would say, “A cow pen full.”
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home.
A funeral service celebration James' life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the funeral home, Bro. Darrell Howerton officiating.
Pallbearers are: Scooter Graham, Jerry Ray Gaskill, Scott Gaskill, Travis Browning, Joshua Hale, and Justin Hale. Honorary Pallbearers are Duane Hale and Ryan Browning.
