Jayden Tyler Dotson, 17, of Sulphur, Oklahoma met his Lord and Savior on December 29, 2025. Jayden was born in Richardson, Texas on September 21, 2008. He spent most of his childhood in Rockwall, Texas attending Rockwall schools. His sophomore year of high school he moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma, attending Sulphur High School, where he quickly made several friends, including the school staff - and where he discovered his passion for wrestling, becoming very knowledgeable and skilled at the sport.
Jayden was a member of Lakepointe Baptist Church in Rockwall, where he was baptized on August 3, 2017. His favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:13. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He wore this verse inscription on his bracelet.
Jayden worked after school and weekends as a ranch hand on a large horse ranch in Sulphur. He loved his job caring for those beautiful animals, and had aspirations to train as a bull rider in the rodeo circuit.
Jayden leaves behind his mother Samantha Jo Dotson, dad Blake Parker, grandparents Neel and Sandra Dotson (Pops & Sissy), aunt and uncle Amber and Blake Mevis, cousin Blake (Trip) Mevis III, and great-aunts and uncles Gary and Janet Swan, Carol and Robbie Vaughn, Willie Ryan, Michael Lee Dotson, and his blended family Brandon and Addy Arriola.
Jayden is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Bill and Jo Ann Swan, Virginia White, Walter Dotson, great-aunts Kim Swan, Glynda Ryan, and cousin Damon Phillips.
Jayden, Jay, Bubby, Jay Don, Jaybird – had a gift of making you feel like you were the most special person in the room. He was always observant and genuinely concerned about making sure people were happy. If you were sad, Jay would figure out how to make you smile.
Jay never missed a moment to tell his Mama how beautiful she was, and cherished their mother-son adventures together. He hung on to every word of every story and lesson from his mentor Pops. Jay never asked for much, but he was always so appreciative of every gift, meal, gesture, effort, or just time spent with him. If you knew Jay, you loved Jay. He was just made that way.
A private family graveside service will be held on January 7 at Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton, Texas, Pastor Mike Roberson officiating. Pallbearers are Bob Wooley, Willie Ryan, Gary Swan, and Brandon Arriola.
