

She was born on February 21, 1945 in Munday, Texas to John Michels and Annie Jungman Michels.
Johnnye grew up in Munday, Texas and graduated from Munday High School. She attended Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas. She married Richard on March 27, 1965. The couple had a wonderful and devoted life of 59 years.
Johnnye was a homemaker; making a warm and loving home for her family. She was a kind selfless woman, who loved to help others. Johnnye volunteered as an accountant for non-profit charities. She was involved and volunteered in a program that help women when released from prison, start a new life. Johnnye donated and supported the ASPCA, showing her love of animals.
Johnnye was a strong Christian woman, who supported and helped Richard with his ministry. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and four legged critters around the home. Johnnye loved having a close bond with her sisters and brother; conversing with them by phone regularly. Johnnye loved the Lord and her family. She will be greatly missed. Her family finds comfort in knowing they will see her again and that she is safe in the arms of the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Michels; beloved husband, Richard Graf; son, Michael Graf.
Johnnye is survived by her son, Robert Graf and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Jonathan and Mychaela; daughter-in-law, Lamesia Graf and son, Zachery; sisters, Mildred Vadney, Gloria Descoteaux, Lois Smith and husband, Wayne; brother, J. W. Michels; many nieces and nephews; her beloved schnauzer, Sparkie; a host of other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. September 7, 2024 at Red Hill Cemetery in Murchison, Texas.
