Mr. Holz passed away January 4, 2019 at his home. He was born June 8, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio to Theodore Mausard Holz, II and Margaret Janet Beach Holz.
Mr. Holz was a Christian by faith. He was born in Youngstown, but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. Karl served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged on Feb. 28, 1973. He earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Karl moved to the Dallas area and was able to travel the United States and the world during his career. He was known for his talent with repairing machines and equipment. His favorite quote was, "Jack of all trades; master of none. It's by the grace of God, I get anything done." He was a prankster and a jokester.
Mr. Holz is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ted. Karl is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Louise Holz of Murchison; three children and their spouses: Sarah Elizabeth Holz-Douglas and David of Murchison, Naomi Ruth Holz-Sommers and Christopher of Wylie, and Karl David Holz and Christine of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren: Hanna Holz, Ethan Douglas, Shana Douglas, Kiley Douglas and Cyprien Sommers; two brothers: Edward Charles Holz and Stephen Albert Holz; and a sister, Kathryn Alice Holz-Mimms.
