Services for Kenneth Collins, 76, of Wills Point, TX are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Canton with Bro. Mike Roberson officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.
Kenneth passed away February 25, 2019 in Tyler, TX.
He was born June 5, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Wayne Devall Collins and Ruby Viola Keppel.
Kenneth grew up in Mt. Carmel, IL. He started working at the age of 17 for F. W. Woolworth and worked his way up to manager. He later worked for Jack's Service Company servicing Air Force and Army Bases.
Kenneth married Carol Frances Snelling on April 1, 1961. They later moved to Dallas where he worked for Mrs. Baird's Bread until he retired after 28 years. He was known as the "Super Bread Man". After Kenneth retired they moved to Canton, TX. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton where he loved to witness to people. Kenneth enjoyed J. Vernon McGee on the bible radio. He enjoyed farming and watch Judge Judy everyday.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Carol Frances Collins; Children: Jeffrey & Leslie Collins, Larry Scott & Kelly Collins, David Gregory & Mary Jo Collins, Julie & Todd Perry, Jill & Robert Watts, Shannon & Blake Baldwin; Grandchildren: Jeff & Maja Collins, Lauren Collins, Emily & Jared Goldsmith, Clayton Collins, Caleb & Courtney Collins, Kimberly & Trey McIntosh, Jasmine Watts, Holly Perry, Nathan Perry, Natalie Collins, Elizabeth Watts, and Brooke Collins; Great Grandchildren: Isabella Collins, Dustin Collins and Collin Goldsmith; Brothers: Dale & Linda Collins and Donny Collins; Sister, Karen Mahorey.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne & Ruby Collins; and Brothers: Gary Collins and Dennis Collins.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton, TX.
Family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
