
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Charles Ray and Robert Eugene McCreary; granddaughter, Bernadette McCreary; brother, Amos Ward McCreary and sister, Benny Jean McCreary Williams.
His is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Wanda Rae Kellner McCreary; daughter, Virginia McCreary Fisher and her husband, Bob; son, Larry Wayne McCreary and wife, Shirley; two step-children: Jimmie Rae Smith and William Charles Smith; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, Elisabeth Ameris Miller.
Larkin attended school at China Grove before moving to Dallas in the 1940's. As a teen he began working part time delivering work for Dallas Blue. He worked his way up and was transferred to Shreveport, Louisiana. Larkin raised his four children in Shreveport.
In 1980, Larkin and his wife moved to Canton, TX. He managed the print shop for Ridgeways on Oaklawn, Dallas, TX. After retiring from Ridgeways Larkin opened his own printshop, Comet Printing Co. He later sold Comet Printing Co. to Winning Strategies. Larkin was a member of the Canton Lions Club, an active member and Past Master of the Castellon Lodge, past board member of the Van Zandt Fair Association.
At the time of his death, he was a member of the First Assembly of God in Mabank, TX. Larkin served as head deacon at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Shreveport, LA in the 1950's.
Larkin loved the Lord and cheerfully went home to be with him at 3:05 pm January 25, 2021. Interment was in Haven of Memories under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.
