A memorial service for Larry Clyde House, 80, of Canton, will be held 2 pm Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Tundra Baptist Church in Canton with Bro. Phil Knott officiating. Inurnment will be in DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. House passed away on December 15, 2025 at his home. He was born September 13, 1945 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Clifton Lee and Pauline Ketchum House.
Larry graduated high school in Hot Springs. He then earned a Bachelor's Degree from Ouachita Baptist University in 1967. Having been in the ROTC at Ouachita, Larry proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Lt. Colonel. Larry then worked as a police officer in Columbus, Ohio for 15 years. Larry had lived in Canton for the past 9 years. He was a member of Tundra Baptist Church. Larry loved animals, especially his dogs. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Mr. House is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Pauline House; his twin brother, Gary House; sister, Evonne Briggs; and nephew Michael House.
Larry is survived by his sister-in-law, Lola House; nephews: Kevin and Amy House and Stephen Briggs; niece: Renee Ross; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
