

A funeral service for Martha Mae King, 80, of Grand Saline, Texas will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Eubank Funeral Home, Rev. Joanne Elston officiating. A graveside service will follow at Colfax Cemetery in Van, Texas.
Mrs. King went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2021 at home with her husband, Pat, by her side. She was born on February 10, 1940 in Ben Wheeler, Texas to John Benjamin and Anna Christine Graham Ardry.
Martha was a woman of her own mind, she did things her way. She was devoted to her children always wanting them to feel loved, she lost her own mother at a very early age, never want her children to feel that kind of loss of a mother’s love. On July 21, 1956 she married her one true love of nearly 65 years, Patrick Ferrell King. Martha worked for Southwestern Bell until she retired. She was active in many organizations, always enjoyed joining and being involved. Some of those were the Community Colfax women group, Methodist Women and was an Eastern Star in the Van lodge. She was a member of the Colfax Methodist Church. Martha was always volunteering, even took grandchildren along, teaching them about giving back to the community. When Martha had free time she enjoyed watching murder mysteries and detective shows. For years she crocheted and embroidery. She would start a project and spend the commute to Dallas for work crocheting. Martha loved the Lord and her biggest joy was family. She has left a big empty space in the hearts and lives of all that knew and loved her. They have comfort in knowning she rest in the arms of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Ardry; and twin brothers.
Martha is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick King; children, Thelma Christine Crawford and husband, James, Vernon B. King and wife, Tabitha, Jeffery P. King and wife, Nijole, Patrick Shawn King and wife, Veronica; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Arnita Whitney and brother, Ronald B. Ardry.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Monday, February 8, 2021.
