Mary Nell "Myrt" Johnson

Mary Nell Johnson, born on August 14, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2025, at the age of 81. She was a beloved aunt, the sweetest soul, and a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She gave the best hugs and always put others before herself. Her grace, laughter, and boundless love will be deeply missed but forever cherished. While our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing she is now in the arms of her Savior.

Mary Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Byron Johnson and Mary Ozella Rogers Johnson, and special friends Jimmy Harrison, Mike Hyden, and John Pitts.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon Hartis of Athens, Texas; niece, Kelly Hartis Norton of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Keith Hartis (Kim) of Combine, Texas; great-niece Katelyn Glasscock (Bradley) of Forney, Texas; great-nephews Koby Hartis (Julia) of Searcy, Arkansas, and Kole Hartis (Emma) of Combine, Texas; and three great-great nephews, Jensen Glasscock, Matthew Hartis, and Beckett Hartis, numerous cousins, and life-long friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Eubanks Funeral Home, Canton, Texas.
