

Mildred W. Blagburn, 91, of Kaufman, Texas went home to heaven and was reunited with her beloved husband on March 10, 2025. She was born on June 22, 1933, in Wills Point, Texas to Stonewall J. Greenwood and Nettie Wilson Greenwood.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors one hour prior to service.
Mildred grew up in Van Zandt County. It was at Church she met her future husband, Eugene Blagburn. The couple married on November 16, 1951, and had 73 beautiful years together.
Mildred worked in Dallas for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company for 35 years when she retired. She enjoyed growing roses and a wonderful garden. Mildred loved singing at church. She sang many solos at First Assembly of God church through the years. When she was younger, she sang on the radio with her father. Later she was in a singing group with her relatives, The Turtle Trio, Mildred came from a musical family and played many instruments.
Mildred adored her cats and dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stonewall and Nettie Greenwood; beloved husband, Eugene Blagburn; sister Juanita Greenwood Sloan; brothers: Robert Duncan Greenwood, Billy Joe Greenwood, John Henry Greenwood and Stonewall Jefferson Greenwood, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Blagburn Berry and Darlene Mathein and husband, Michael; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
Interment will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Wills Point, Texas.
