Services for Nelda Louise Davis, 73, of Ben Wheeler, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018, at Pruitt Baptist Church in Van with Bro. David McNary officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.
Nelda passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, in Tyler, TX.
She was born October 26, 1944, in Coleman, TX to Leon Greenhill and Ruby Pope Greenhill.
Nelda grew up in Big Spring, TX and graduated from Big Spring High School. She moved to Duncanville in 1975 and married Jerry Davis on December 6, 1985. Nelda had several hobbies including oil painting and crafts. Her most valued time was spent with her children and grandchildren. Nelda and Jerry moved to Ben Wheeler and she worked for the Smith County Sheriff's Department where she retired after several years. She was a member of Pruitt Baptist Church where she also attended Sunday School.
She is survived by her Husband, Jerry Davis; Daughter, Darla Lesueur of Forsan, TX; Daughter, Annette Story and husband, Dana, of Duncanville, TX; Daughter, Dana Baker of San Antonio, TX; Son, Aaron Fountain of Fate, TX; Grandchildren: Jason Key, Chase Reasoner, Casey Reasoner, Clinton Reasoner, Christian Fountain, Jayden Fountain; 8 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Anita Moore, Karen Greenhill Winters, Glenda Kimbler, Cathy Perez, Karla Chavarria; and Brother, James Greenhill.
Nelda is preceded in death by her Parents, Leon and Ruby Greenhill; and Brother, Kenneth Greenhill.
Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
