Nelda Jo McFaul

Services for Nelda Jo Westmoreland McFaul, 90, of Dallas, are scheduled for 11 am Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the Elm Grove Church near Mabank with Bro. Dennis Hochgraber officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. McFaul passed away July 19, 2019 in Dallas. She was born March 19, 1929 in Phalba to Roy Deyo and Cora Evie “Kitty” Smith Westmoreland.

Nelda grew up in the Elm Grove Community and moved to Dallas during wartime in the 1940’s. She married Wayne McFaul on June 14, 1947. They bought a home in 1953 and raised their family. She has lived in the same home for the past 66 years. Mrs. McFaul was a baby sitter for many years. She loved to go on vacations, especially to Colorado. Nelda loved quilting, cooking, sewing, reading her Bible, spending time with her family and genealogy.

Mrs. McFaul is preceded in death by her parents, Roy D. and Cora “Kitty” Westmoreland; husband, Wayne McFaul; and a brother, B.J. Westmoreland.

Nelda is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Wynelda and Tom Willard of Mabank, Denise and Terry Clark of Sunnyvale and Tamy and Curt Hasbrouck of Forney; eight grandchildren: Spencer Clark, Jenifer and Cory Hogan, Jason and Carrie Clark, Jaime and Dean Marquardt, Amy Miller, Amanda Shubert, Amelia Hasbrouck and Zach and Shelbie Hasbrouck; twelve great-grandchildren: Malie Hogan, Derek and Jenna Marquardt, Carson Clark, Tucker and Preston Lacy, Ema and Jack Weglarz, Camy and Drake Simmons, Bransen Stinson and Addy Hasbrouck; three sister-in-laws: Machie Westmoreland of Mesquite, Dorothy McFaul of Kemp and Emily McFaul of Roscoe; her two beloved dogs: Rudy and Baby; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Pallbearers will be Keith Westmoreland, Cory Hogan, Jason Clark, Dean Marquardt, Zach Hasbrouck and Spencer Clark.

Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500
