Pat went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2019.
She was born September 11, 1942 in Lubbock, TX to Alfred and Pauline Lee.
The first thing Pat would tell you is that she wasn’t expected to live a full week and God blessed her with 76 wonderful years. Pat accepted Jesus as her savior when she was 12 years old and was baptized at Mt. Lebanon Church Camp. Pat loved her family and treasured being a mom, but her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother. She loved to read, fish, sew, listen to her music, watch Hallmark movies and root on the Texas Rangers. She was an amazing cook and her fresh apple cake was her signature bake. Most of all, she enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with the Lord.
Pat was preceded in death by her late husband, Melvin Parten; father, Alfred Lee; mother, Pauline Lee; sisters: Katie Lee, Joella Sisk and Betty Faye Wright; brothers: Bobby Lee and Freddy Lee.
Pat is survived by her companion of 22 years, David Matthews; Son, Earnie Parten and wife Chrissy of West Chester, OH; Daughter, Aleesa Lewis and husband Richard; grandson, Matthew of Baytown, TX; Brother-in-law, Ronald Wright of North Richland Hills, TX; Sister-in-law, Betty Lee of Denton, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews; and was mother and grandmother to many, many more.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories in Canton, TX.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
