Pearl Beatrice Dawson Schaefer

Services for Pearl Beatrice Schaefer, 93, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX and Friday, June 5, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, in Anderson, TX. officiated by Pastor Richard Mayerhoff and Pastor Travis Pitock under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Anderson, TX.

Bea passed away May 31, 2015 in Grand Saline, TX.

Bea was born on December 8, 1921, in Jackson, Louisiana to Charles Vernon and Callie Pearl Turner Dawson.

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Canton for the last 20 years. Bea enjoyed flowers, working with her hands and crocheting. She also enjoyed traveling, playing many different games and loved being around people. Bea was the life of the party. She loved music and dancing, especially Polka.

Bea is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Clarence Schaefer; 3 Brothers, Lester Harold Dawson, Gene Dawson, and Jesse Dawson; and Sister, Ida Mae Chidester.

Bea is survived by Son, David & Carolyn Schaefer of Grand Saline, TX; Son, Lester & Judy Schaefer of Bryan, TX; Son, Malvin Schaefer of Canton, TX; Son, Charles Schaefer of Snook, Tx; Sister, Elsie Pace of Phoenix, AZ; 2 Sister-In-Laws, Maxine Dawson of Elberta, AL and Lindsay Dawson of Pride, LA; 6 Grandchildren: Lisa Schaefer of Ventura, CA; Steven Schaefer of Red Oak, TX; Vernon Schaefer of Canton, TX; Christine Schaefer Spofford of Mineola, TX; and Melissa Schaefer Bennett of Grand Saline, TX and Jennifer Schaefer Johnson of Mineola, TX; 11 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at Eubank Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Russell Wayne Pfeffer, Edward Lee Dawson, David Wehmeyer, James “Ike” Landry, Clarence “Butch’ Landry, Jr. and John Schaffer. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Schaffer (deceased) and Glen Ray Schaffer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Canton, TX, or Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson, TX.
