By His amazing grace, Robert went home to the Lord on September 30th, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born July 28th, 1949, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Charles and Rosie Kennimer. He grew up in Irving, Texas, raised his family in Golden, Texas, and for the last 23 years resided in Canton, Texas.
Robert was Methodist by faith, who loved and cherished God and his family above anything else. He was most proud of his grandchildren, who are his greatest loves. He always offered them the “24/7 card,” and was just one phone call away. Granddaddy was a man full of knowledge, advice, and wisdom.
Robert built a business from the ground up, RK Mechanical, which has now become a third-generation family run business. He was a hard-working man, who took pride in building a legacy to leave for his family.
To know Granddaddy was to love him, and he will be missed by many. Robert will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
Psalm 23:1-4 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rosie Kennimer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Vicky Kennimer; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Michael Riley; grandchildren Courtney Riley, Amanda Riley, Robert and Megan Riley.
A visitation will be held from 1:30 – 2:30 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Eubank Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
