Services for Thomas Gene Shivers, 84, of Ben Wheeler, TX, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton, TX with Father Selvaraj Sinnappan officiating under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.

Thomas passed away on January 26, 2016, in Ben Wheeler, TX.

He was born on April 4, 1931, in Grand Saline, TX to James Thomas and Dora Chambers Shivers.

Thomas was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He was married 65 years to his precious wife, Martha. They had 65 wonderful years together and called each other Honey all through the years. They worked together on the farm raising cows. He retired in 1986 from being a mail carrier in the city of Dallas. Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping and Bob Wills Western Swing.

He is preceded in death by his Parents; and Brothers and Sisters, Clyde, Garland, J.T., Ruth and Tommie.

Thomas is survived by his Wife, Martha Jane Shivers of Ben Wheeler, TX; Son, David and Kelly Shivers of Royse City, TX; Grandchildren, Hillary and Daniel Simpson, Kristin Shivers, Amy and Tyler Lawless; Great Grandchildren, Campbell, Porter, and Finley; and other friends and family.

The family will receive friends Thursday,January 28, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton, TX.

Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
