Services for Virginia M. Alexander, 91, of Grand Saline, will be held 11 am Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Dr. Mike Roberson officiating. Interment will be in the DFW National Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander passed away November 9, 2019 in Grand Saline. She was born July 21, 1928 in Rosalie, TX to John Hatton and Wretha Melvina Carroll Watkins.
Virginia grew up in Grapevine. She married Milton Alexander on August 18, 1945. Virginia was a member of Marsh Lane Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star at the John C. Pelt Mason Lodge in Duncanville, TX and a Mother Advisor of the Rainbow Girls. Virginia and Milton enjoyed being members of the Antique Car Club and Antique Tractor Club. She was very active in her church and Duncanville activities, such as PTA, Band Boosters, Girl Scouts, and Rainbow Girls. Virginia loved to do arts and crafts and needle-work. She worked for St. Paul Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Alexander is preceded in death by her parents, John and Wretha Watkins; husband of 70 years, Milton Alexander; and sister, Arlein Kiker.
Virginia is survived by her daughter and her husband, Ginger and Art Clayborn of Grand Saline, TX; daughter and her husband, Gay Butler and Dr. Paul Sobin of Mabank, TX; five grandsons and their wives: Jason and Alyson Clayborn, Ryan and Lisa Clayborn, Christopher Butler, Sean and Kelly Butler, and Trevor and Makayla Butler; five great-grandchildren: Cameron Clayborn, Kendall Clayborn, Brenden Clayborn, Noelle Butler and Mia Butler; and nephew, John Kiker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Clayborn, Ryan Clayborn, Christopher Butler, Sean Butler, Trevor Butler, and Art Clayborn.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
