Services for Wanda Ruth Phillips, 78, of Wills Point, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday August 16, 2014 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Johnnie Herriage officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, Texas.

She passed away August 13, 2014 in Forney, TX.

Mrs. Phillips was born January 18, 1936 in Pine Forest, TX, to Joe Bryan Williams and Gertrude Pogue Williams.

Wanda grew up in Pine Forest and attended school in Pickton. At the age of 13 she played piano for a quartet in a radio show. She was a member of Hayden Baptist Church.Wanda attended East Texas State University where she received her Masters Degree. She then taught school for 28 years before retireing. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing the piano in her spare time.

Surviving are Husband, Basil Phillips of Wills Point, TX, Son, Charles & Deborah Phillips of Terrell, TX, Son, Billy & Teresa Phillips of Terrell, TX, Grandsons, Robert Phillips, Derek Brown, Brandon Phillips, Cory Joe Phillips, Granddaughters, Robin Dorman, Jamie Durbin, Caitlyn Phillips, Great Grandchildren, Dillon, Jaden, Brandice, C.J., Hayden, Averie, Step Son, Robert & Kyra Phillips, Step Daughter, Linda & Calvin O'glee, Sisters, Mary Fite, Janis Morrison, and Jo Carolyn Wyatt.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Daughter, Diana Phillips, Brother, Jimmy Williams, Granddaughter, Brittany Phillips.
