Brenda J (Frost) Shirley

Brenda J (Frost) Shirley, 72, of North Fort Myers Florida, born on August 04,1950 in Lawrence County, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 14th, 2023. She is the daughter of Kenneth R. and Luella Marie (Bundy) Gilbert.

She dedicated her career to caring for others in healthcare for many years, primarily in the surgical department. She eventually went on to obtain her certification in surgical assisting. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and the beach. She absolutely adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Randy Shirley, son, Rick Spriggs (Annette), Daughter, Tina (Spriggs) Bogart (Bill), Stepdaughters, Andrea Shirley, Nikki Schlenz, Brandie Neffle (Thomas), Brittany Shotts (Jake), Grandchildren, Kristian, Hannah, Heather, Kaiden, Jesse, Taylor, Riley, Ethan, Bryn, Gwyn, Emma, and Adalyn. Great grandchildren Brantley, Jayda, Jace, Lane, Paisley, and Lucas. Siblings, Deloris York (Randy), Kenny Gilbert (Glenda), Ricky Gilbert (Cindy), and Niece-sister Vicki Seacat (Ronnie), and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth R. and Luella Marie Gilbert. Her daughter Julie Ann Curtis. Grandson Dustin Dunn, brother Donald Gilbert, sisters Janice Gilbert and Debbie Compton.

The family have arranged a Celebration of life on Sunday May 21st, 2023, at Coral Ridge Cemetery at 950 Chiquita Blvd. S. Cape Coral, Fl 33991.

Visitation will begin at 2:00pm and the service will be held at 3:00pm.

An additional gathering is tentatively scheduled for June 4th, 2023, in Trafalgar, Indiana.
