Bruce W. Maynard, 63, of Matlacha, FL passed away Friday, February 5, 2016. Born in Miami, FL December 8, 1952 to William and Jean Maynard, Bruce attended East Tennessee State University and earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Education at the University of Florida. Teaching at the University of Florida and the University of West Florida, Bruce retired after 35 years of working in special education. He is survived by his loving wife Debra A.; son Kevin R.; stepson Steven Matthews; stepdaughter Stephanie Corbin; brother Scott; sister Laura Lach. "Pampi" will be missed by his 4 granddaughters Savana, Reese, Charley, and Parker. Final arrangements will be private within the family. The family asks you to participate in becoming an organ donor.
