Carolyn A Bowen

February 19, 1920-January 2, 2012

Carolyn Bowen went home to be with our Lord on Monday at Cape Coral Hospital. She has been a resident of Cape Coral,Fl. since 1965 but was born and raised in Washington, DC. Lived happily for her family and served her church and her community. She was a devoted wife to Col. Millard G.Bowen, Jr. for 56 years and loved her 2 children, Millard G. Bowen,3rd and Sharon B.Robbins. She adored her one grandson, Austin C.A. Bowen.

Carolyn was always singing to God and was a valued soloist in her church Faith Presbyterian, for many years. She was also a deacon, a circle member, did women’s programs and taught Sunday School. She was a life member of the Lion’s Club and had been in Sweet Adelines and the VFW Auxiliary. Always giving of herself to others. She had been residing at Gulf Coast Village since 2002 and made lots of friends there.

There will be a celebration of her life at Gulf Coast Village, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral, Florida on Saturday, January 14,2012 at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to Gulf Coast Village Foundation or Hope Hospice of Ft. Myers.
