He was born in Greencastle, Indiana and resided in Cape Coral, Florida for 43 years. Derek served his country during Vietnam by enlisting in the Navy. He coached Little League Baseball for 10 years, even after his sons grew up, and still worked 60+ hours a week building homes. Derek retired from the City of Cape Coral in the Facilities dept. He also helped as an inspector after natural disasters with his unwavering knowledge.
Derek is survived by his wife of 54 years Mary Frazier; sons Brandon (Jenn) Frazier and Jay J. Frazier; sister Darcy (Doug) Anderson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Frazier; mother Doris Frazier; brothers Danny Frazier and Denton Frazier.
