Francine Cerato

Francine was a graduate of Seaford High School in 1974. She worked in the Administration Office for William Floyd School District and then after relocating to Florida, worked in the family delicatessen. Soon after grandchildren arrived, she was a volunteer at Christa McAuliffe Charter School.

Francine dedicated her life to her grandchildren for the past 20 years, teaching and nurturing them. She participated in all their schooling, sporting and dance events and she willingly gave all her time, as she loved them with all her heart and soul, as did the children.

Francine was always there for everyone in her life, selfless and asked for nothing in return except love. She gave every ounce of her soul to her family and friends, always finding a redeeming quality even in the people who were unkind to her. She was a humble saint that everyone whose life she touched will miss her terribly.

My Angel, as she was referred to by her husband, was the love of his life. They met when he was 15 years old. Francine is a one of kind soul and cannot be replaced. Richard will forever be crushed until the time comes to reunite.

Francine was preceded in death by her father; Richard Consalvo, her mother; Helene Consalvo, her Brother in Law; William Johnson and Aunt Marie McGuire. She is survived by her husband of 48 years; Richard W. Cerato II; her children, Richard W. Cerato III, Jenifer Lee Cerato, her grandchildren; Gianna Arzola, Jaden Arzola, Mia June Cerato & Audriana Natalie Cerato, her brothers and sisters, Regina Johnson, Richard Consalvo, Michael Consalvo and Valerie Consalvo.

A visitation for Francine will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Following the visitation will be a funeral mass from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
